Vat Dyes: Color Magic

Vat dyes can add exciting new dimensions to your dyed fabrics. Explore the interaction of color as you strip out one color (the reactive dye) and replace it with another color and a halo color. The effect is magical! Vat dyes work on cotton, silk, rayon and organza. We will use resists, thermo faxes, and silk-screens to layer new imagery on to previously dyed fabrics.  Learn to mix, apply and print and steam vat dyed fabrics.

Two day workshop:   9:45 to 4:15

Minimum of 5 people, maximum of 10 people

Workshop fee:          $150 per person
